Cliffs Natural Resources Inc CLF shares are trading higher by $1.37 (14 percent) at $10.89 in Thursday's session. The catalyst for the rally is a solid Q4 EPS beat of $0.19 along with a $79 million beat for revenues.
After a higher open, it retreated only $0.20 to $9.95 before continuing its stealth move higher. The ensuing rally has now eclipsed its December 8 high of $10.90, so far reaching $10.95 as of 11:25 a.m. ET.
The issue is attempting to trade in the $11.00 handle for the first time since November 2014. In fact, it hasn't closed over $11.00 since November 10, 2014, when it ended that session at $11.04.
