Apple Takes A Breather After Best One-Day Performance In Years

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) shares are trading lower by $0.59 at $128.16 in Thursday's session. That is just a fraction of its $7.40 gain ($121.35 to $128.75) on the heels of a better-than-expected Q1 report released Tuesday after the close.

After a lower open, it bottomed at $127.78 and began to move higher. The ensuing rally was able to clear Wednesday's close ($128.75), but came up shy of Wednesday's high ($130.49), only reaching $129.39 before drifting back towards the lows for the day.

Its move over $130.00 on Wednesday was the first time it traded in the $130.00 handle since July 2015.
