S&P 500 index futures are trading lower by 20 at 2042.75 in Tuesday's session. At this time, the index has erased all of its gains from Monday and is struggling to retake Friday's close of 2043.50.
All of the top 10 components of the index are in the red. The biggest drag on the index are Microsoft Corporation MSFT shares, which are trading lower by $1.29 at $50.54. Part of the decline can be attributed to the issue going ex-dividend today.
It's followed by Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN shares, which are trading lower by $11.50 at $699.15.
