Electronic Arts, Inc. EA shares are trading higher by $7.90 (12 percent) at $72.45 in Wednesday's session. The catalyst for the huge rally is a Q1 beat for EPS of $0.08 along with $30 million revenue beat.
After nearly a $6 higher open, it only retreated $0.19 to $70.24 before continuing its move higher. The ensuing rally took the issue to the $74 level, with the rally stalling at $74.92. That was the first time near that area since October, the same month it made its all-time high of $76.92.
Since reaching that elevated level, it has retreated and has been finding intra-day support in the lower $72 handle.
