June Gold futures are trading higher by $7.60 at $1298.10 in Monday's session. The rolling front month contract (June) cleared the $1300 barrier for the first time since January 2015, when the February Gold contract reached $1309.
After reversing course, it fell back under $1300, but found support just ahead of Friday's close ($1290.50), only reaching $1290.80 before rebounding back to the $1300 area.
