Exxon Mobil Lone Winner Today Among Top 10 S&P 500 Components

Joel Elconin is the co-host of Benzinga's #PreMarket Prep, a daily trading idea radio show. Exxon Mobil Corporation XOM shares were trading higher by $0.65 at $84.93 in Monday's session. It is the only top 10 S&P 500 index component trading in the green in today's session. Making the rally even more impressive is that it's taking place with crude futures off by $1.00, though still is quite some distance from Friday's low ($56.83). After a lower open, Exxon Mobil breached Friday's low ($83.98), reaching $83.93 before embarking on its move higher. So far, it reached $85.21 and has pulled back to $85. The current high is just above the highs from Thursday ($84.89) and Friday ($85). It also coincides with with a series of five closes between $85.11 and $85.20 from May 27 through June 2.
