SNAP Interactive

Shares of SNAP Interactive (STVI), the New York City provider of online dating applications for social networking Web sites and mobile platforms, rose 41% Thursday on 14 times the average daily volume.

SNAP Interactive CEO Cliff Lerner was interviewed Wednesday by The Street.

SNAP Interactive closed at $1.58 Thursday.

Hansen Medical

Shares of Hansen Medical (NASDAQ: HNSN), the Mountain View, CA developer, manufacturer, and marketer of medical robotics designed for accurate positioning, manipulation, and stable control of catheters and catheter-based technologies, rose 15% Thursday on 6 times the average daily volume.

Hansen announced Wednesday it will showcase its Magellan Robotic System at the Leipzig Interventional Course, from January 25-28, at the Trade Fair Leipzig in Leipzig, Germany.

Hansen Medical closed at $2.79 Thursday.
