Yesterday, Apple released the iOS 5.0.1 minor software update to the public. Among other things, the update claims to address battery life issues that users of the iPhone have been complaining about since upgrading to iOS 5 last month. Many users hoped that the update would fix the issue and all would be peaceful again, but it appears as though this is not the case.
According to one Apple Support Community discussion, users are seeing even worse battery life under iOS 5.0.1. There are also several other discussions going on in Apple's Developer Support forums and other forums on the Internet claiming that iOS 5.0.1 has either made battery life worse or has not addressed the issue at all.
At this time, it's unclear what Apple's plans are to continue to address battery life issues on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
