On Thursday morning, WEEI&#8217;s The Greg Hill Show co-host Courtney Cox said that the bidding was down to three finalists: Bezos, Fenway Sports Group and Wynn Resorts, owner of hotel and casino Encore Boston Harbor, Sports Illustrated <a href="https://www.si.com/nba/celtics/top-stories/latest-report-lists-jeff-bezos-as-finalist-to-purchase-celtics-fenway-sports-group-wynn-resorts-01j71jfah00z">reported</a>.
Cox stated that Bezos was a possible buyer two weeks after<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/m-a/24/08/40495264/jeff-bezos-has-no-plans-to-buy-nbas-boston-celtics-could-nfl-team-ownership-still-be-in-the-cards"> it was reported</a> on Aug. 21 that the Amazon Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) founder did not plan to purchase the Celtics, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/startups/24/08/40490189/is-jeff-bezos-plotting-a-6-billion-purchase-i-think-its-real-the-billionaire-eyes-the-boston-celtics">following a report </a>earlier in the day that he was offering $6 billion for the team with an estimated worth of $4.7 billion.

Boston Basketball Partners L.L.C., the Celtics&#8217; primary shareholder,&nbsp;intends to sell a majority interest in the Celtics in 2024 or early 2025. Wyc Grousbeck is expected to stay on board as the Governor of the Celtics until the deal&#8217;s expected closing in 2028.
Charlie Jacobs, the CEO of Delaware North, which owns the Celtics&#8217; stadium TD Garden, said&nbsp;during the Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon that the team recently signed a lease to remain in their current home venue for &#8220;another 12 years or so.&#8221;
That plan could change if Bezos buys the team because he may want to own the Celtics&#8217; local arena and build a new stadium comparable to the Intuit Dome, a new stadium built by Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.

Will Bezos Buy The Celtics Or Not? Latest Reports Say That He Will

Billionaire Elon Musk is focusing a lot of attention on artificial intelligence these days through companies like Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>), X and xAI, but he missed out on being recognized by Time Magazine as a top 100 name for <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/artificial-intelligence">the artificial intelligence sector</a>.
What Happened: Time Magazine recently unveiled <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/09/40746595/tesla-bull-blames-ev-giant-for-elon-musk-missing-out-on-time-magazines-most-influen">its second annual</a> TIME100 AI list of the 100 most influential people in artificial intelligence.
A picture <a href="https://x.com/TIME/status/1831665580241293772">shared</a> on X by Time was notably missing Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, which drew plenty of reactions on social media. Clicking through to the <a href="https://time.com/collection/time100-ai-2024/">list</a> showed that Altman made the cut and wasn't included in the picture, but Musk was nowhere to be found.  
The tweet from Time has over seven million views and hundreds of comments asking where musk is and why he wasn't on the list.
Popular social media user @greg16676935420 had one of the most liked replies.
"Elon Musk must've been #101," a reply said.
The reply has over 11,000 likes, ratioing the 3,400 likes that Time originally received on the post.
The X account @wallstreetbets posted a picture of dogs and captioned the reply with "Time's most influential cats."
Tesla influencer Sawyer Merritt <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1831778817746334060">criticized</a> Musk being excluded.
"Somehow, Elon Musk is not on the list, despite recently bringing online the most powerful AI training system in the world with xAI, and having the largest self-driving data fleet in the world at Tesla," Merritt tweeted.
Musk responded to Merritt's post with, "Magazines do not establish relevance, history does."
The thought from Musk comes as the billionaire is often quick to criticize media companies and their coverage of him, but in this case took the high road and offered a way to say I'll show them.

It may have been the inclusion of actor Scarlett Johansson on the list that drew the most attention at someone who beat out Musk. The actress lashed out at OpenAI for the usage of what sounded like her voice for ChatGPT after previously being asked to share her voice on a project.
While the moment was significant to the artificial intelligence in the world of deepfakes and concerns of using people's image and likeness without permission through AI, many argued that she isn't as influential on the sector as Musk.
Musk made the Time <a href="https://time.com/collection/time100-ai/">list</a> last year for influential names in AI, but could have missed out due to a focus on selecting new names.
"Ninety-one of the members of the 2024 list were not on last year's an indication of just how quickly the field is changing," Time said.
The magazine said they interviewed members from last year's list to find the best new additions, which could suggest a preference to new names.
When it comes to AI, Musk is one of the most mentioned names. Tesla investors and analysts have argued that the company best known for electric vehicles could be one of the most underrated AI companies.
Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/penny-stocks/23/08/34102486/exclusive-cathie-wood-tells-benzinga-why-tesla-should-trade-as-a-tech-stock">previously told Benzinga</a> that Tesla should trade like a technology stock and not like an auto stock, due in large part to its place in AI.
"Tesla, because of its positioning with AI, it is the only auto company or tech company that has designed its own chip for autonomous driving," Wood previously said.
Wood said autonomous taxi platforms could be "the biggest AI project in the world."
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/07/39647985/tesla-most-undervalued-ai-play-in-the-market-analyst-says-rubber-meets-the-road-on-"> shares the same commentary </a>on Tesla being an AI company.
"The key for Tesla's stock looking ahead is the Street recognizing that Tesla is the most undervalued AI play in the market in our view with a historical Robotaxi Day ahead for Musk and Tesla," Ives previously said.
Ives said Tesla is more of an AI and robotics lay than a traditional car company.

The mountain retreat could be outfitted with Wi-Fi, although the seller chose not to install it.
"You can be as plugged or unplugged as you like," May said.

"They close the road in late October and don't maintain it," May said. "That's why the listing says it has seasonal access. The seller had to snowmobile to and from the property for years because it's a dirt road that's not paved."
The solution? The fully furnished home comes with a Polaris 550 fan-cooled snowmobile for getting around the small town of Irwin in the winter.
"It's only about 20 minutes to downtown Crested Butte," May said. "Irwin is an old mining town with a lot of history. It's a community where people live full-time, and the seller used it as her primary residence, but if someone wanted to use it only in the summer, they could do that as well."
Built in 1942, the two-bedroom cabin blends rustic charm and modern amenities. The owner, who purchased the property in the early 2000s, has made significant updates.
A stone patio is perfect for entertaining guests, and custom metal railings inside and out add a touch of contemporary style.

"One of the most impressive features is the views that you get from the wraparound deck," May said. "The surrounding environment is very lush and overgrown, but it's really beautiful. It's just a really neat environment up there."

A new Morning Consult <a href="https://pro.morningconsult.com/trackers/2024-presidential-election-polling?utm_source=briefing&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=washington_am&amp;utm_content=090624">poll</a> of likely voters shows Harris' lead dropping and Trump gaining support two months ahead of the election.
The new poll shows the following results from voters, with the results from the Aug. 27 poll in parentheses. The previous poll included all voters and not just likely voters.

Why It's Important: The new 2024 election poll of likely voters might show one of the better illustrations of what could happen in November. Both candidates receive higher totals with less undecided voters factored in.
The bad news for Harris is her lead among all voters and younger voters declined from last week. Harris' lead for the independent voters grew to six percentage points, up from a four-point percentage lead previously.
Harris continues to rank ahead of Trump in the weekly head-to-head poll, maintaining a lead each week since the head-to-head update in the poll took place with Biden stepping down in the 2024 election race.
Another key figure for the 2024 election poll is how it compares to the stage in the 2020 election. With two months to go before the 2020 election, Joe Biden led Trump by eight percentage points among likely voters 51% to 43%.
Biden went on to win the popular vote in the 2020 election 51.3% to 46.9%. The nearly four-point winning margin was around half of what the poll two months before the election was predicting. Trump outperformed many election polls in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.
The three-point lead for Harris over Trump comes after Morning Consult recently released a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/politics/24/07/40086590/harris-vs-trump-vice-president-has-passed-former-president-in-swing-states-could-biden-stepping-" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">swing state voter poll</a>&nbsp;that found the vice president leading 48% to 47% overall in seven key states.&nbsp;The vice president was leading Trump in four of the seven swing states (Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin), tied in one (Georgia) and trailing in two (North Carolina, Pennsylvania).
This marks one of the final polls ahead of the first presidential debate between Harris and Trump set for Sept. 10.

"The thing that I'm most excited about is getting folks exposure to the platforms that I'm really proud of," Pipitone told Benzinga.
In the direct trading space, few firms have their own technology, Pipitone said.

Contestants in the World Championship of Trading will have access to Benzinga's Live Squawk, which Pipitone said is a nice value add.

Contest Rules: The contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada who are 21 years of age or older.
Traders will be able to buy simulated equities and options from U.S. markets during the contest periods starting with a balance of $100,000. No fractional shares will be allowed and no single trade can be above $10,000 when placed. Traders have to hold a minimum of one stock or option throughout the duration of the contest. A minimum of five days of one trade or more have to be completed throughout each contest.
Interested investors have been able to <a href="https://benzingapartners.go2cloud.org/aff_c?offer_id=467&amp;aff_id=1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">sign up to join</a> the contest since Friday, July 26. Signing up for the first contest will automatically register an entry in the second and third contests. Traders can sign up for the contests after the start dates as long as it is before a cutoff deadline.
