NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) CEO Jensen Huang has been described as a &#8220;demanding&#8221; boss by his employees, a label he embraces. In a recent interview, Huang defended his leadership style, asserting that it takes a relentless approach to run a company of Nvidia&#8217;s magnitude.
What Happened: In a recent interview with &#8220;60 Minutes,&#8221; Huang&#8217;s employees at Nvidia&#8217;s Santa Clara headquarters characterized him as a &#8220;demanding&#8221; and &#8220;perfectionist&#8221; boss, <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/05/13/nvidias-ceo-was-labeled-a-demanding-boss-by-staff-experts-discuss.html">reported</a> CNBC on Monday. 
Huang, who co-founded Nvidia in 1993, has no qualms about this portrayal, stating that &#8220;If you want to do extraordinary things, it shouldn&#8217;t be easy.&#8221;
Huang&#8217;s leadership style has previously sparked discussions. He has openly shared his unconventional management approach, which includes having 50 direct reports, a number significantly higher than the industry average of 10. Huang expects his senior executives to operate with minimal guidance and independence.
Experts believe that Huang&#8217;s resilience, shaped by his immigrant background, has been instrumental in Nvidia&#8217;s success. His task-oriented leadership style, influenced by his early life experiences, has been effective in challenging and motivating his employees. 
However, some experts argue that Huang&#8217;s leadership style could be improved by incorporating more people-focused traits.
Wladislaw Rivkin, an associate professor of organizational behavior at Trinity Business School, explained that leaders in trillion-dollar valued companies often demonstrate cutthroat behavior, given the intense competition among tech companies at such high valuation levels.
Sankalp Chaturvedi, a professor of organizational behavior and leadership at Imperial College Business School, noted that Huang&#8217;s career in Silicon Valley has spanned more than three decades, which is unusual in the industry.
"I think taking care of people's wellbeing, recognizing people as people, and not just as workers, can be something that could be looked into," Rivkin said.
"All of us have 24 hours in a day and the more direct reports we have the harder it is to coordinate," said Chaturvedi. &#8220;I can tell you for sure that he must be struggling to manage that many direct reports. He's trying to control every bit of operations and not coordinate his strengths, and that's where the problem lies."
According to Rivkin, leading with a ruthless leadership style can be challenging for companies that struggle to attract talented employees, which is the case for many companies in the market. This difficulty arises because prospective employees with options tend to seek other opportunities rather than staying in such environments.

Unfazed Trump?&nbsp;Mary Trump, a psychologist and podcaster, suggested in an MSNBC&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FjS-xhhcvQ" rel="noreferrer noopener">interview</a>&nbsp;that the disclosures made by adult movie star Stormy Daniels regarding the alleged sexual encounter may not have mattered to Donald Trump.&nbsp;
&#8220;Donald Trump is incapable of shame or embarrassment. He is capable of humiliation&nbsp;but&nbsp;the kind of details&nbsp;that&nbsp;were&nbsp;revealed&nbsp;in the courtroom are not&nbsp;really&nbsp;the kind of details that bother him,&#8221; she remarked.
Mary Trump indicated that her uncle wouldn&#8217;t mind&nbsp;being perceived&nbsp;as &#8220;sleazy&#8221; or disrespectful towards women. &#8220;Unfortunately, he takes it as a badge of honor,&#8221; she added.
She commended Daniels for being &#8220;incredibly sincere,&#8221; noting her consistency in testimony. Mary Trump highlighted Daniels&#8217; response to defense attorneys,&nbsp;where she expressed&nbsp;that if she were fabricating her story, it would have been more compelling, suggesting credibility.

Playing Martyr Card: Regarding the view that Donald Trump may willingly go to jail just to come off as a martyr and rally voters around, Mary Trump said it was absurd to think so.
The psychologist said her uncle may not be able to handle the situation of being locked in a cell without access to his phone. &#8220;He would love the martyrdom, but I don&#8217;t think he is for real willing to go to jail,&#8221; she said.
Family Support: Mary Trump also weighed in on the absence of any of her uncle&#8217;s family members, save Eric Trump, in the courtroom during hearings. &#8220;People who support him don&#8217;t make anything of its,&#8221; she said. The psychologist said her uncle&#8217;s family is very transactional. &#8220;I don&#8217;t think he gets anything out of having them there, or they get anything out of being there,&#8221; she said.
That said, Donald Trump would be more concerned and angry that he does not have thousands of supporters picketing outside for him, Mary Trump said.
Push Back In Trial Schedule? Mary Trump said she had hopes that the New York hush-money trial will result in him being held accountable. &#8220;This may well be the only trial that doesn&#8217;t just finish but that even starts before the election, which is a damning indictment of the state our legal system is in, right now,&#8221; she said. 
Barron Trump Rumors: The news of Donald Trump&#8217;s youngest child Barron Trump going to the Republican National Convention as a floor delegate reminded Mary Trump of her uncle<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/03/37574752/donald-trumps-daughter-in-law-lara-trump-takes-center-stage-in-rnc-leadership-shift"> installing his daughter-in-law as one of the heads of RNC,</a> the psychologist said. &#8220;He is really trying to make this another family business, another family business that would likely fail if he is in charge of it again,&#8221; she said.
She noted that Barron Trump was just 18 years old and had not graduated from high school and had to be out of this. &#8220;We can get the sense of where Donald is heading, in terms of making sure all of his family members are in key positions politically,&#8221; she said.
Cohen&#8217;s Testimony: When Mary Trump was asked what her uncle was most concerned about his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen&#8217;s testimony this week, she said, &#8220;What will rattle him the most is the fact that he will be in the same room with Michael Cohen without any ability whatsoever to respond.&#8221;
Cohen acted as the conduit through whom money flowed to Daniels, and in 2018, he pled guilty to campaign finance violations and other charges. He also said at the behest of Donald Trump, he arranged the payment of hush money to Daniels and a former Playboy model to avoid any impairment to the latter&#8217;s White House bid in 2016.
The friend-turned-foe is scheduled to testify against his former boss on Monday.
Mary Trump said, &#8220;No matter what Michael Cohen says, that is going to be extraordinarily challenging for him.&#8221;
Cohen is much more triggering for Donald Trump than Daniels, the psychologist said. &#8220;It is important to remember that one of the reasons we are here is Michael Cohen committed crimes on behalf of Donald Trump. He was punished and Donald wasn&#8217;t,&#8221; she said.

What Happened: Sammy Lin, an account manager at a state-owned bank in Suzhou, receives her monthly salary in digital yuan. However, she, like many others, prefers to convert it into regular cash due to the lack of interest and limited usability, <a href="https://www.scmp.com/economy/china-economy/article/3262194/china-paying-some-workers-digital-yuan-few-are-choosing-use-it?module=top_story&amp;pgtype=section">reported</a> South China Morning Post.
&#8220;I prefer not to keep the money in the e-CNY app, because there's no interest if I leave it there,&#8221; Lin said. 
Changshu, a city in Suzhou, began paying its public sector workers in digital yuan a year ago, followed by other employers. However, the employees are not using the digital currency directly due to concerns about privacy and its limited functionality.
Ye Dongyan, a researcher at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in Beijing, highlighted the need to balance privacy and security, which has slowed the progress of promoting the digital yuan.
"Paper currency is used anonymously, but the digital yuan is different," Dongyan said. "The boundaries between information tracking and information security protection need more deliberation."

Albert Wang, a government employee in Suzhou, noted that while the digital yuan could help reduce corruption by limiting cash bribery, its limited usability makes it uncompetitive with widely used payment tools like Alipay and WeChat Pay.

Avis Budget Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CAR#NASDAQ">CAR</a>) (the&nbsp;&quot;Company&quot;) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Avis Budget Finance plc (the &quot;Issuer&quot;), intends, subject to market and other customary conditions, to offer &euro;200 million aggregate principal amount of additional&nbsp;7.25%&nbsp;Senior Notes due 2030 (the &quot;Notes&quot;) in a private offering. The Notes will be issued as additional notes under the Indenture, dated as of July 13, 2023, pursuant to which the Issuer previously issued &euro;400 million aggregate principal amount of&nbsp;7.25%&nbsp;Senior Notes due 2030. The Notes will be guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by Avis Budget Group, Inc. and certain of its U.S. subsidiaries.

The Company intends to use the proceeds from the offering of the Notes for general corporate purposes, which may include repayment of indebtedness, including without limitation, outstanding fleet debt, and to pay fees and expenses in connection with the foregoing.
