On Oct. 1, NANO Nuclear Energy said Carlos O. Maidana has been named as the company&#8217;s head of thermal hydraulics and space program.
Cramer recommended buying McKesson Corporation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MKC#NYSE">MKC</a>). &#8220;I'm ready to start buying, don't buy all at once.&#8221;
On Sept. 25, Deutsche Bank analyst George Hill maintained McKesson with a Buy and lowered the price target from $623 to $579.
Diamondback Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FANG#NASDAQ">FANG</a>) is a &#8220;little too much oil for me," Cramer said.
On Oct 1, Wells Fargo analyst Roger Read maintained Diamondback Energy with an Overweight and lowered the price target from $230 to $219.
&#8220;It's got a huge multiple for its growth rate, and that is worrisome to me. I'm going to have to say we got to come back with something that is less expensive,&#8221; Cramer said when asked about Littelfuse (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LFUS#NASDAQ">LFUS</a>).
On Aug. 29, Baird analyst Luke Junk maintained Littelfuse with an Outperform and raised the price target from $300 to $315.

This compares to earnings of $1.89 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -16.26%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this agribusiness giant would post earnings of $1.35 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.46, delivering a surprise of 8.15%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.
ADM, which belongs to the Zacks Agriculture - Operations industry, posted revenues of $22.25 billion for the quarter ended June 2024, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 4.08%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $25.19 billion. The company has not been able to beat consensus revenue estimates over the last four quarters.

The Nasdaq 100, heavily weighted with tech stocks, experienced the most significant decline among major U.S. indices, dropping 1.5%. Semiconductor stocks were particularly affected, with Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) plummeting over 6% to a two-month low, impacting the entire industry. 
Consequently, the iShares Semiconductor ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SOXX#NYSE">SOXX</a>) fell nearly 3%, marking its sixth negative close in the last eight sessions.
The S&amp;P 500 also dipped 0.8%, primarily due to its heavy tech exposure, while the Dow Jones and Russell 2000 managed to avoid losses. Notably, the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IWM#NYSE">IWM</a>) has outperformed tech stocks by 15% so far this month.
Microsoft Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NYSE">MSFT</a>) declined more than 1% ahead of its post-market earnings announcement, while Apple Inc., Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>), and Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>) experienced smaller losses in anticipation of their reports later in the week.
Crowdstrike Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CRWD#NASDAQ">CRWD</a>) was the worst-performing tech stock on Tuesday, plunging nearly 12% after Delta Air Lines announced it would seek compensation from the cybersecurity firm for last week's outage.
Meanwhile, Treasury yields remained steady, gold edged up 0.3%, and the Japanese yen, tracked by the Invesco CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FXY#NYSE">FXY</a>), gained 0.4% against the dollar in anticipation of a potential Bank of Japan rate hike.

The company reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $1.03, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/07/b40032986/adm-reports-second-quarter-2024-results-affirms-full-year-eps-guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">missing the analyst consensus of $1.22.</a>
Lower pricing and execution margins led to a decline, largely reflecting the impact of <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">lower crush and origination margins.&nbsp;</a>
The company reported quarterly sales of&nbsp;$22.248 billion, which missed the analyst consensus estimate of&nbsp;$23.177 billion. This is a&nbsp;11.68 percent&nbsp;decrease over sales of&nbsp;$25.190 billion&nbsp;the same period last year.
&#8220;ADM delivered solid results in the quarter, in spite of challenging market conditions, and we are pleased with the progress we are making against our 2024 priorities and strategic initiatives,&#8221; said Juan Luciano, Chair of the Board and CEO.

&#8220;In Ag Services &amp; Oilseeds, while large South American crops and shifts in farmer selling behaviors impacted results in the second quarter, we expect improved margin opportunities through the remainder of the year,&#8221; Luciano added.

Traders appear to be overlooking some negative tech earnings released late Monday as they factor in better performances by their mega-cap counterparts.
Microsoft Corp.&#8216;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>) earnings report due after the market close could be sought after by traders to read the tea leaves for the results from its mega-cap peers such as Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>), Meta Platforms, Inc. Insights From Analysts:
Commenting on the FOMC meeting, fund manager Louis Navellier said it is virtually guaranteed that the FOMC statement will signal a key interest rate cut on Sept. 18, premising his expectation on the decline in the two-year Treasury yield from 5.046% on Apr. 30 to 4.385% on Jul. 26.
&#8220;So with the Fed finally joining other central banks and cutting key interest rates, the Fed will provide the &#8216;turbo boost&#8217; that the stock market needs to broaden out further and extend the current rally,&#8221; he said.
Wharton Professor Jeremy Siegel, Senior Economist to WisdomTree, said he expects Jerome Powell to indicate the potential for easing of monetary policies in September if the current economic trends continue. &#8220;He is unlikely to fully commit to this, as there's a lot of data before that September meeting—but the Fed's confidence in the inflation trajectory should have increased enough to start cutting rates,&#8221; the economist said. A steeper 50-basis-point cut is also likely if there is a sharp slowdown, he said, adding that jobless claims data doesn't point to that now.

Hong Kong led the Asian markets lower, as traders reacted negatively to the lackluster close by Wall Street stocks overnight and weak foreign direct investment data released from China. On the other hand, the Japanese, Indian, Taiwanese and New Zealand markets showed modest strength.
European stocks traded on a mixed note, with the U.K.&#8217;s FTSE 100 Index slipping amid mixed earnings, while the German and French markets advanced after the eurozone reported better-than-expected GDP growth for the second quarter.

This is a 45.5 percent decrease over earnings of $1.89 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $22.248 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $23.177 billion by 4.01 percent. This is a 11.68 percent decrease over sales of $25.190 billion the same period last year.

(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOG#NASDAQ">GOOG</a>) and STMicroelectronics N.V. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/STM#NYSE">STM</a>), among companies <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/07/39918390/tesla-q2-earnings-highlights-revenue-beat-eps-miss-robotaxi-update-2024-growth-rate-to-be-notably-l">disappointing to the downside</a>. As the focus shifts to the unfolding week, more tech companies are lined up to disclose their quarterly results, potentially offering cues regarding the health of the sector.
The Week That Was: Most on Wall Street viewed Tesla&#8217;s earnings as lacking quality because a significant portion of them came from one-time regulatory credits. On the other hand, Google-parent Alphabet alienated investors by flagging higher capex that will likely weigh down on margins and in turn the bottom line.
Franco-Italian chipmaker, which is a key supplier to the automotive market, cut its full-year guidance. But not all tech tidings were received with pessimism. International Business Machines Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IBM#NYSE">IBM</a>) rose as investors cheered the company&#8217;s strong artificial intelligence bookings. 
Healthy Trend: Data from financial data analytics company FactSet <a href="https://advantage.factset.com/hubfs/Website/Resources%20Section/Research%20Desk/Earnings%20Insight/EarningsInsight_072624C.pdf">showed</a> that about 14% of the S&amp;P 500 companies have reported their quarterly results so far. The percentage of S&amp;P 500 names that reported upside earnings surprise is 80%, above the one-year average (78%), five-year average (77%), and 10-year average (74%). But the percentage of upside was sub-part at 5.5%, below the one-year average (+6.5%), five-year average (+8.6%), and 10-year average (+6.8%).
The blended earnings of S&amp;P 500 companies are expected to grow by 9.7%, the fastest pace since the fourth quarter of 2021. Eight of the 11 S&amp;P 500 companies are on track to report year-over-year earnings growth for the June quarter, with communication Services, healthcare, IT, and financials likely reporting double-digit growth.
On the other hand, the materials space is expected to witness the steepest earnings decline.

The Week Ahead: According to FactSet, this week will feature earnings reports from 138 S&amp;P 500 companies, including seven components of the Dow 30. Some heavily-weighted companies such as Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>), Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>) and Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>) are all in the mix.
Meta is expected to be the largest contributor to earnings per share growth, given the consensus models nearly 60% increase.
After last week&#8217;s brutal tech sell-off, a bullish analyst is optimistic concerning the the sector, its prospects and the stock trajectory. &#8220;We believe the tech sell-off seen last week will be short-lived as the Street better digests results and commentary from the broader tech sector over the coming weeks during 2Q earnings season,&#8221; Wedbush&#8217;s Daniel Ives said in a note published Sunday.
&#8220;This is the start….not the end of this tech bull run we expect the next few years,&#8221; he said, adding that companies, utilities, governments will spend over $1 trillion combined in AI capex over the coming years fueling this AI Revolution.
The analyst said investors will likely look for clues around the pace of AI revolution from the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/07/39899280/microsoft-stock-has-further-room-to-run-says-analyst-as-software-giant-remains-on-t">earnings reports of Microsoft,</a> Amazon, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>), Meta and Apple and others.
Tech stocks extended their weekly declines in the week ended July 26 amid the disappointment from early tech reporters. The Invesco QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QQQ#NASDAQ">QQQ</a>), an index that tracks the performance of the Nasdaq 100 Index, ended Friday&#8217;s session down 1.03% to $462.97, according to <a href="https://benzinga.grsm.io/register174">Benzinga Pro data.</a> The ETF is trading off its record close of $502.96 reached on July 10. The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) climbed 1.12% on Friday before closing at $5544.44. The QQQ and SPY climbed 0.48% and 0.25%, respectively, in premarket trading Monday.
