Forbes Rifle LLC to manufacture Carl Gustaf 2000 Hunting Rifles under Nammo License

Raufoss, Norway, Jan. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nammo Group and Forbes Rifle LLC have entered into an agreement where Forbes has acquired a global manufacturing and marketing license for Carl Gustaf 2000 hunting rifles.

Carl Gustaf (CG) rifles have been manufactured in Eskilstuna, Sweden, since 1812. The CG 2000 is the latest model in a line of excellent hunting weapons carrying the CG brand name that is known for its design, quality and durability. The CG 2000 rifles are currently available in calibres .243 Win, 6.5 mm x 55 Swedish, .270 Win, .308 Win, .30-06, 7 mm x 64, 9.3 mm x 62, 7 mm Rem Mag and .300 Win Mag and will be made available to the market during 2015. Other calibres are planned for later release.

Nammo military ammunition carries the Carl Gustaf brand and head stamp including the 7.62 mm AP (M993) and 5.56 mm AP (M995), which have been supplied to the US Government for more than 20 years. Nammo's 5.56 mm "green" ammunition is now also available on the US commercial market under the Carl Gustaf brand name from selected distributors.
