American Brewing Increases Shelf Space

EDMONDS, WA / ACCESSWIRE / October 8, 2014 / American Brewing Company, Inc., (ABRW) ("ABC"), an award-winning micro-brewing company based out of the Pacific Northwest, announced today that it is moving rapidly through the approval process regarding new grocery store authorizations in two major Canadian provinces. 

In British Columbia, ABC has been approved for distribution into 670 private stores and the company is now waiting on approval for 197 government stores. ABC anticipates that it will receive this approval by early November and that it will add Alberta by January.

“The approval of ABC beers in British Columbia government stores, along with extending our network to Alberta, will help put ABC on the map with some of the premier retailers in Canada,” said Neil Fallon, CEO of ABC. “This is a tremendous opportunity to develop our brand name internationally as well as to feature our new, 12oz cans.”

ABC also provides an update on the company's current supermarket and grocery store authorizations.

At this time, 22oz bottles are authorized in 116 Safeway stores throughout Western Washington. Additionally, all of Kroger's Washington stores (QFC and Fred Meyers) have authorized shelf space. New 12oz cans are just making their debut in the first of 64 Quality Food Centers (QFC). All Albertsons, Top Foods and Haggen locations in Washington are now carrying the beer. ABC's other regional placements include Thriftway, Kagro and Metropolitan Market.

ABC's national accounts include Whole Foods Market, Wal-Mart, Total Wine and More, BevMo, SuperValu, IGA and Cost Plus World Market.
