Earth Hour: A World Wildlife Fund Initiative

Earth Hour was started by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Australia in 2007. That year more than 2.2 million people and more than 2,000 businesses turned their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change. In 2008, the rest of the world - including Canada - joined Earth Hour.
