UNNA, Germany, & FORT COLLINS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

LTi REEnergy, a global supplier of PV inverters, today announced a partnership with Ampt to offer utility-scale inverters that improve system performance while lowering system cost. These new inverters are optimized to operate in Ampt Mode™ when deployed in conjunction with Ampt's module-level converters, resulting in a two-thirds increase in inverter output power from the standard LTi inverter platform.

Using LTi REEnergy inverters with Ampt Mode, system integrators can now achieve an inverter cost reduction of up to 40 percent for the same power level. By operating at a higher and narrower voltage range, the optimized inverters also increase operating efficiency and reliability.

“We are thrilled to be the first inverter manufacturer to offer Ampt Mode as it's a clear market differentiator for LTi,” said Norbert Holthenrich, Head of Photovoltaic at LTi REEnergy. “Partnering with Ampt allows LTi to get the most power and highest efficiency from our products and in-turn pass those benefits and significant cost savings on to our customers.”

By using LTi REEnergy Inverters with Ampt Mode, in conjunction with PV Modules powered by Ampt, system integrators also benefit from lower system costs associated with balance of system (BOS) and operations and maintenance (O&M) as well as maximize the power generation of every solar module significantly reducing the levelized cost of energy (LCOE).

“Our partnership with LTi REEnergy represents a significant step forward toward lowering the cost of large-scale PV systems,” said Levent Gun, CEO at Ampt. “The LTi inverter with Ampt Mode takes advantage of Ampt's patented DC-DC module technology to help integrators build systems that harvest more energy at lower installed costs.”

LTi REEnergy and Ampt will be exhibiting at the Inverter and PV System Technology Forum – USA 2012 on February 27-28 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport. At which, Gun will take part in a panel discussion titled ‘PV system design and performance optimization,' on Monday, February 27 at 9:20 a.m. PT.
