DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Frontier Airlines announced today that it is launching new year-round service from its Denver (DEN) hub to Bloomington/Normal, Ill. (BMI) and Cedar Rapids, Iowa (CID), along with seasonal service to Bellingham, Wash. (BLI), Great Falls, Mont. (GTF) and Harrisburg, Pa. (MDT) – taking the number of nonstop Frontier routes from Denver to a record 67.

“Adding low-fare service to these five new destinations from Denver is another sign of our ongoing commitment to our hometown,” said David Siegel, president and chief executive officer of Frontier. “With the launch of this new service, Frontier will be the only low-cost airline flying between Denver and both Cedar Rapids and Great Falls, as well as the only carrier to offer nonstop service from Denver to the remaining destinations.”

Introductory fares begin at $60* each way for Denver-Cedar Rapids service; $80* each way for Denver-Bloomington/Normal and Denver-Great Falls service; $90* each way for Denver-Bellingham service; and $110* each way for Denver-Harrisburg service. The intro fares are available at FrontierAirlines.com through Feb. 29, 2012, for travel through mid to late June, depending on the market. The new flights are currently available only on the airline's website and through its Reservations centers; they will be for sale through other ticketing channels this weekend.

Members of Frontier's EarlyReturns frequent flyer program can earn double miles** for every qualifying flight they take on the new routes through June 30, 2012. Pre-registration is required. For details, visit FrontierAirlines.com/memberoffers.

Service to/from Bloomington/Normal, Cedar Rapids and Great Falls will be provided on 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft, while service to/from Bellingham and Harrisburg will operate on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft. Both aircraft feature STRETCH seating with an additional 5 to 7 inches of legroom on every flight. The Embraer aircraft additionally offer onboard Wi-Fi service from Gogo, while the Airbus aircraft offer 24 channels of DirecTV® and three channels of hit movies at every seat.
