CORRECTING and REPLACING A.M. Best Withdraws Ratings of UnitedHealthcare of Tennessee, Inc. Due to Merger

Second graph, first sentence of release should read: UnitedHealthcare of Tennessee Inc was a former subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, Inc. UNH (sted UnitedHealthcare of Tennessee Inc was a former subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, Inc. UHC).

A.M. Best Co. has withdrawn the financial strength rating of A (Excellent) and issuer credit rating of “a” of UnitedHealthcare of Tennessee, Inc. (Brentwood, TN), following its merger into UnitedHealthcare Plan of the River Valley, Inc. (Moline, IL) effective June 30, 2011.

UnitedHealthcare of Tennessee Inc was a former subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, Inc. UNH. UnitedHealthcare Plan of River Valley is a wholly owned subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, Inc., and has an FSR of A (Excellent) and ICR of “a”, which are unchanged.
