SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 6, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Star Buffet, Inc. STRZ today filed a Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission. On September 30, 2010, Star Buffet, Inc. (the "Company") received a letter from The NASDAQ Stock Market ("NASDAQ") indicating that the Company was not in compliance with the NASDAQ Listing Rule 5810 (b) for Continued Listing as a result of its failure to file its report on Form 10-Q for the period ended August 9, 2010. According to NASDAQ regulations the Company has 60 calendar days from September 30, 2010 to submit a plan to regain compliance. Filing the Company's report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ending August 9, 2010 is a primary component of the plan.
