Zillow received a Civil Investigative Demand from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (the "CFPB") in April 2017. Then on August 8, 2017, Zillow filed its 10-Q with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, announcing that the CFPB has concluded its investigation and has invited Zillow to discuss possible settlement. The 10-Q also stated that the CFPB intends to pursue further action if a settlement cannot be reached.
