Emerald Transformer Acquires Transformer Division From Clean Harbors

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla., July 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Emerald Transformer, a division of Versatile Processing Group, Inc., an Insight Equity portfolio company, announced today the acquisition of the Transformer Services group of Clean Harbors Inc. CLH.  This acquisition expands the national footprint of Emerald Transformer and further enhances its ability to provide industry-leading service to its customers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Transformer Services group of Clean Harbors is a well-established business that brings significant expertise and capacity to the equipment recycling, PCB disposal, oil processing, and field services operations of Emerald Transformer.  The combination of these two companies will greatly expand Emerald Transformer's capabilities and provide it with facilities and resources that we believe are unmatched in the industry.

Geographically, the acquisition strengthens Emerald Transformer's national footprint, which now consists of 10 strategic locations from coast-to-coast.  Following the addition of five facilities across the United States, Emerald will now focus on expanding the service offerings of all locations while leveraging shared expertise and best practices to provide the highest level of service in the industry.
