BlackRidge Technology to Address Blockchain Security at 9th Annual Enterprise Computing Community Conference Hosted by Marist College

BlackRidge CTO for Commercial Markets to present on securing commercial blockchain networks

Reno, NV (PRWEB) June 08, 2017

BlackRidge Technology International, Inc. GROT, a leader in cyber defense, is pleased to announce its support of the 9th annual Enterprise Computing Community conference at Marist College, joining key industry leaders to discuss security, innovation and entrepreneurship related to enterprise systems.

This year's event, which runs from June 11-13, marks BlackRidge's second consecutive year as a gold-level sponsor. Other gold-level sponsors of this year's conference include IBM, DFT Data Centers, and the "LEAD-IT" program of North Carolina A&T State University.

"We're honored to have BlackRidge Technology return as a gold sponsor for the 9th annual ECC Conference," said Dr. Roger Norton, dean of the School of Computer Science. "Our cybersecurity research partnership with BlackRidge continues to expand and benefit the company and our students and faculty. This year we are pleased to work with BlackRidge on the exciting new area of further securing blockchain networks for commercial applications."

Blockchain networks are foundation for the new distributed digital ledger technology for business transactions. Tony Sager, CTO Commercial Markets for BlackRidge Technology, will present a talk on "Securing Commercial Blockchain Networks." In this talk, Sager will review why additional network security and compliance is required for commercial blockchain networks, how BlackRidge identity-based cyber defense can further secure blockchain networks, and he will review the BlackRidge and Marist College's joint research into deploying a commercial blockchain leveraging the IBM Blockchain for Hyperledger.

BlackRidge brings to the ECC conference a wealth of experience in cybersecurity, using the company's patented First Packet Authentication™ to stop cyber-attacks and protect against insider threats at the earliest possible time, on the first packet before network sessions are established. BlackRidge's identity-based approach provides the equivalent of secure caller ID for the network, allowing only identified and authorized users or devices access to enterprise and cloud systems.
The 2017 Enterprise Computing Community conference is open to the public and free. To register, visit https://ecc.marist.edu/web/conference2017.
