GLEN BURNIE, Md., March 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Glen Burnie Bancorp GLBZ, parent company of The Bank of Glen Burnie, today announces the appointment of Jeffrey D. Harris as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Bank; and Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of the Bancorp, effective March 30, 2017. 

Mr. Harris is a Certified Public Accountant and has over thirty years' experience in finance, accounting, operations, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and large-scale project management.  Mr. Harris possesses broad knowledge of financial institution accounting and business operations coupled with a high level of analytical, operational, managerial, and organizational skills.
