Community Bank of Bergen County, NJ Hires Paul A. Meyer, Senior Commercial Loan Officer

MAYWOOD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Community Bank of Bergen County, NJ CMTB announced today the hiring of banking industry veteran Paul A. Meyer as Senior Commercial Loan Officer, who in this new role will be responsible for bringing high quality commercial real estate loans into CBBC.

Meyer brings with him nearly 60 years of lending experience. Most recently he retired from the Bank of New Jersey where he spent five years as a Senior Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. Prior to that he worked at Freedom Bank as Executive Vice President/Chief Lending Officer. Meyer also held senior lending positions at several local banks, including Greater Community, Chemical Bank (formerly Northeastern Bank) and Interchange Bank. Despite his extensive experience in Northern New Jersey, Meyer began his career in White Plains, New York at the National Bank of Westchester.

Meyer is an active participant in civic clubs and organizations. He is a 55-year member of the International Lions Club, President of the Fair Lawn Lions Club, and the former District Governor of District 16A, New Jersey Lions which encompasses 75 Lions Clubs in Northern New Jersey.

Additionally, Meyer has served on the board of many organizations including: Care Plus Workforce Solutions, a regional mental health organization; Bergen Community College Foundation; Bergen Regional Medical Center and its foundation (which he helped launch); the 200 Club of Bergen County; Garden State Credit Association; the Paramus Children's Health Foundation; the Paramus Education Foundation and the Paramus Chamber of Commerce (both of which he served as president). He has proudly served on the board of the New Jersey Camp for Blind Children for nearly 25 years where he held the position of treasurer.

Meyer and his wife of 54 years, Sandra, reside in Paramus where they have spent the past 36 years. Meyer has four children and nine grandchildren.
