National Technical Systems Subsidiary NQA USA Approved to Conduct Audits to Department of Homeland Security Organizational Preparedness Program

announced today that its National Quality Assurance USA subsidiary has been accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to certify private sector companies to the Department of Homeland Security (

)-selected standards under the voluntary Private Sector Preparedness Program called PS-Prep™, the first company in the U.S. to receive this approval. PS-Prep™ is a partnership between the DHS and the private sector with the goal of enhancing nationwide resilience in an all-hazards environment by requiring organizations to improve their disaster readiness and response capabilities. This past week, the DHS announced that NQA, USA completed the first audit under the PS-Prep program, awarding certification to AT&T's Corporate Business Continuity Planning (C-BCP) organization, a major milestone for the PS-Prep program.
