SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Dec. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa Cruz County Bank SCZC, with assets over $1.4 billion, is a top rated community bank headquartered in Santa Cruz County. Today the bank announced its Board of Directors' declaration of a quarterly cash dividend in the amount of $0.075 per share. The dividend is payable on January 11, 2021 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 30, 2020.

For the quarter ended September 30, 2020, Santa Cruz County Bank reported record $5.3 million in net income, an increase of 76%, compared to the third quarter of 2019.

Return on average equity was 13.04% for the quarter ended September 30, 2020. The book value per share of Santa Cruz County Bank's common stock at September 30, 2020 was $42.83, compared to $31.69 as of September 30, 2019.  Shareholders' equity grew to $164.9 million, an $87.1 million increase compared to the same period in 2019. This significant growth was accelerated by the Bank's merger with Lighthouse Bank in the fourth quarter of 2019.
