Stats Perform Bolsters Growing Technology Department with Two Strategic VP Hires

Aaron Symanski Joins as Vice President of Engineering and Goodman Gu as Vice President of AI

Today, Stats Perform, the revolutionary leader in sports AI and data, announced the hire of Aaron Symanski as Vice President of Engineering and Goodman Gu as Vice President of AI. The hires strengthen Stats Perform's growing technology department, which continues to develop cutting-edge AI sports products and solutions for media and technology, betting and team performance.

Symanski will be responsible for driving engineering delivery and excellence, leading Stats Perform engineering teams based in the U.S. and India. Before joining Stats Perform, Symanski was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Change Healthcare CHNG through its $2B initial public offering. He led the company's global technology vision, architecture, and innovation areas. Before Change Healthcare, Symanski was the founding CTO of Apervita, a cloud-based healthcare analytics builder platform. There he architected and built the innovative bi-directional peer-to-peer platform that is the digital standard for U.S. quality measure reporting and rapidly scaled to 2,400 hospitals.

Gu will use his extensive experience in machine learning, AI, and data analytics to oversee the day-to-day execution of all AI productization. Before Stats Perform, Gu was head of machine learning and AI at COGITO, where he spearheaded active learning, data augmentation, machine learning platform rebuild, enterprise data lake development and product analytics capabilities. Before COGITO, Gu served as head of data engineering at Atlassian, as well as multiple leadership positions at Amazon, Dell, Sears Holdings and CPXI in software development and data engineering.

Gu has an M.S. degree from MIT in engineering and management, and a B.S in computer science from the International University Bruchsal. Symanski has an MBA, MSCS, and bachelor's in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
