Majority Of 18-34 Year Old Americans Are Struggling With Their Mental Health According To New Research

SAN FRANCISCO, March 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- As Brain Awareness Week (March 11-17) begins today, Total Brain, the world's first brain optimization platform, announces new research that shows 76% of 18-34 years old admit they are struggling with their mental health but only 1 in 4 currently receive professional help.

New Research: Millennials are Struggling with their Mental Health

This statistic is based on new findings from the 2019 Total Brain survey of 1,008 Americans 18-55+ years old. Other results from the survey include:

  • More than 1/2 of 18-34 years old have severe or moderate mental fatigue
  • More than 1 in 3 18-55+ years old say anxiety or depression causes them to be mentally unproductive at work

"Our research shows that most Millennials are experiencing significant issues with their mental health, which can have a negative impact on their personal and professional lives, yet they're not seeking out professional help," said Louis Gagnon, CEO of Total Brain. "Our Total Brain platform can be a great starting point with assessment of all twelve brain capacities, mental condition screening, self-care and brain training developed by neuroscientists."

Total Brain offers an easy-to-use app to help enhance brain performance and productivity while also screening for possible mental conditions. The platform, which has been used more than 16 million times, also reduces stress through personalized brain trainings, featuring exercises and content to help users consolidate their mental strengths and master their weaknesses.
