Chris Black joins Franklin Financial Network as Executive Vice President

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Nov. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Franklin Financial Network FSB (the "Company"), parent company of Franklin Synergy Bank (the "Bank"), this week announced the addition of Chris Black to the Company's Executive Leadership team. Black's appointment as Executive Vice President, Strategy was announced by Franklin Financial Network Chairman and CEO Richard Herrington.  Black will be based in the Company's Downtown Franklin Headquarters, and will oversee strategic planning and execution for both the Company and the Bank.

Black joins Franklin Financial Network from FirstBank, headquartered in Downtown Nashville, where he served as Senior Vice President and CFO, Banking. Previously, Black worked in the investment management and investment research industries, specializing in the banking sector while at Merrill Lynch & Co. and ISI Group, and was based in New York City.  Prior to working in the private sector, Black served for over nine years as an Officer and pilot in the United States Air Force.

Black earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University with a major in Engineering and his Master of Business Administration from Auburn University, with a concentration in Finance.
