Industrial Logistics Properties Trust ILPT today announced that John G. Murray has been appointed as Managing Trustee, President and Chief Executive Officer of ILPT, effective December 1, 2018.

Mr. Murray joined The RMR Group RMR in 1993 and has been a member of its senior executive team since that time. Mr. Murray will continue to serve as Executive Vice President of RMR and Managing Trustee, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hospitality Properties Trust HPT. To ensure a smooth transition, Mr. Popeo will remain a non-executive employee of RMR until his retirement on March 30, 2019.

Adam D. Portnoy, Managing Trustee of ILPT and Managing Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of RMR, made the following statement:

"John joined RMR in 1997 and has had a number of executive roles within our organization. Most, recently John helped lead ILPT through its initial public offering and played a key role since then in executing ILPT's business plan. On behalf of the ILPT and RMR Boards, I want to thank John for his many years of exceptional service."
