CenturyLink invites teachers to apply for grants of up to $5,000 to help support technology in their classrooms

MONROE, La., Oct. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its ongoing commitment to the communities it serves, CenturyLink, Inc. CTL today announced that applications are now being accepted for the CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation's Teachers and Technology grant program. With education at the forefront of the Foundation's focus, the program is designed to help teachers bring technology into their respective classrooms to increase student achievement.

CenturyLink understands how important it is to have technology in today's classrooms.

To apply, teachers should visit www.centurylink.com/teachersandtechnology and complete an online application before midnight (Eastern) Jan. 12, 2019.

Eligibility for grants extends to all pre-K through 12th grade teachers in public, private and/or charter schools located in either a CenturyLink residential service area or a core corporate location in the United States (Ouachita Parish, La.; Johnson County, Kan.; Tulsa County, Okla. or St. Louis County, Mo.). Applicants have the chance to receive grants of up to $5,000 to implement innovative technology solutions in their classrooms.

"More than ever, our students need to be exposed to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts, and our teachers need the right tools to be able to reach them. Launched in 2008, the CenturyLink Teachers and Technology program has awarded more than $8 million in grants.
