JUPITER, FL / ACCESSWIRE / October 31, 2017 / GelTech Solutions, Inc. GLTC, an innovator in the use of environmentally-friendly polymers for fire suppression and protection, today announced that the Company is beginning to experience increased interest and demand for its FireIce Shield CTP system and FireIce Shield gel by contractors that perform modifications for companies that own communication towers. The FireIce Shield CTP system and gel is a product created by GelTech Solutions, Inc., specifically for the communication tower industry, and is designed to protect the tower, sensitive communication equipment, wiring and the property and landscaping in close proximity to a communication tower from the heat, flame and sparks associated with welding and cutting performed during tower modification. Sabre Industries, Inc., an industry leader in utility and communication tower design, construction and modification, has issued a directive to its contractors that perform modifications to communication towers to begin using FireIce Shield CTP on hot work jobs in the Southeast United States beginning October 1, 2017 and nationwide beginning December 1, 2017, as part of a safety initiative.

"We have experienced increased interest in the use of the FireIce Shield CTP System and product by contractors as a result of our two-year collaboration with a large communication tower owner and its contractors," stated Dan Simon, GelTech's chief operating officer. "Sabre's decision to require it's contractors to use the FireIce Shield CTP System and FireIce Shield CTP gel on specific communication tower modification projects will contribute to sales growth for GelTech in this sector."

The FireIce Shield CTP system is a specialty mixing and deployment system designed to apply FireIce Shield gel on communication towers during cutting, grinding, welding and firewatch. FireIce Shield CTP gel is a proprietary formula that minimizes damage caused by welding sparks, fire and slag.
