There is a slew of economic data this week, with a look at inflation, retail sales, initial jobless claims, and manufacturing data leading the way. There are no economic reports scheduled to be released on Monday. Tuesday, September 13, we get August export and import prices at 8:30 a.m. At 2 p.m., we also get the U.S. Treasury budget for August. Wednesday is a humongous day for economic data, with a look at the housing sector, inflation, and retail sales on the docket. At 7 a.m., we get the weekly MBA Mortgage Index for the week ending September 10. At 8:30 a.m., August Producer Price Index and Core PPI are going to be released. We also get the August retail sales report from the government at 8:30 a.m. At 10 a.m., we get the July business inventory report, and 10:30 will see the weekly crude inventory report. On Thursday, September 15, we will see initial claims data, Consumer Price Index (
CPI
), August Empire Manufacturing, and the second quarter current account balance, all being released at 8:30 a.m. At 9:15 a.m., we see August industrial production and capacity utilization. Right at 10:00 a.m., we get the Philadelphia Fed reading for September. Friday is a light day in terms of economic data. At 9:00 a.m., we get Net Long-Term TIC Flows for July. At 9:55 a.m., we get a revised look at Michigan consumer sentiment.
