ARM Holdings swung to a quarterly net profit of GBP72.8 million ($111 million), or 5.1 pence per share, versus a year-ago loss of GBP6.2 million, or 0.4 pence per share. Earnings per ADS came in at 24.0 pence per share, versus a year-ago loss per ADS of 2.2 pence per share. Profit before tax climbed to 91.4 million pounds from 12.2 million pounds, while normalized profit before tax on an adjusted basis surged to 118.9 million pounds from 95.5 million pounds. ARM's revenue climbed 19% to GBP225.9 million ($334.4 million). Licensing revenue surged 27% y/y to $162.3 million. Operating expenses shrank 26% to 126.3 million pounds. The company announced its plans to raise its dividend to 4.5 pence (6.9 cents). ARM projects first-quarter revenue to increase 10% on the year. ARM shares gained 3.47% to $50.46 in pre-market trading.
