UPDATE: Alpha Natural Posts Q4 Loss

reported a Q4 loss. Alpha Natural posted a quarterly net loss of $359 million, or $1.62 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $127.6 million, or $0.58 per share. Excluding non-recurring items, the company lost $0.52 per share. However, analysts expected a loss of $0.62 per share. Its total revenue slipped 30% to $1.1 billion. Alpha Natural shares fell 0.19% to $5.25 in pre-market trading.
