Credit Suisse Posts Downbeat Q3 Profit

Credit Suisse Group AG

reported a rise in its third-quarter net profit. Credit Suisse's quarterly net profit surged to 454 million francs, versus a year-ago profit of 254 million francs. However, analysts were estimating a profit of 655 million francs. Its total operating expenses declined 11% to around 4.7 billion francs. Credit Suisse shares fell 2.78% to $32.70 in pre-market trading.
