Zurich Insurance Q2 Net Profit Drops 27%

Zurich Insurance Group AG

reported a 27% drop in its net income for the second quarter. Zurich's quarterly net profit declined to $789 million ($846 million), versus a year-ago profit of $1.087 billion. Its business operating profit fell 18% to $937 million. Zurich Insurance shares closed at $27.13 yesterday.
