Scania Posts Lower Q2 Profit

reported a drop in its second-quarter net profit. Scania's quarterly net profit fell to SEK1.38 billion, from SEK1.46 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a profit of SEK1.74 billion. Its revenue rose to SEK22.8 billion from SEK19.21 billion, versus estimates of SEK21.29 billion. Scania's operating profit surged to SEK2.04 billion from SEK1.93 billion, while operating margin narrowed to 8.9% from 10.1%.
