Activision Blizzard Adds 5% After Q4 Earnings

Shares of video-game publisher Activision Blizzard were higher in Thursday's after hours trading session after the company reported its fiscal fourth-quarter results. Activision is the publisher of the red-hot Call of Duty series as well as Guitar Hero.

 

The company reported net income for the quarter of $354 million or $0.31 per share, compared to $99 million or $0.08 per share in the year ago period.

 

On an adjusted basis, earnings per share were $0.78 compared to $0.62 last year. This came in above analysts' consensus EPS estimates of $0.72.

 

Adjusted net revenue in the fourth-quarter was $2.6 billion compared to $2.41 billion in last year's Q4. This came in ahead of Wall Street analysts' consensus revenue estimates of $2.44 billion.

 

The company guided for full-year net earnings of $0.68 per share and adjusted net EPS of $0.80. Non-GAAP net revenue is expected to be $4.175 billion. Analysts have current consensus estimates for the full-year 2013 of $0.97 per share on revenue of $4.56 billion.
