BT Group Posts Upbeat Q3 Earnings

reported upbeat third-quarter earnings. BT Group's quarterly net profit climbed to GBP484 million, versus GBP491 million, in the year-ago period. Its adjusted revenue declined 6% to GBP4.510 billion from GBP4.774 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of GBP486 million on revenue of GBP4.485 billion. Its adjusted EBITDA gained 2% to GBP1.548 billion, versus estimates of GBP1.526 billion. BT Group shares closed at $39.46 yesterday.
