Coldwater Creek posted a quarterly loss of $20.5 million, or $0.67 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $29.2 million, or $1.24 per share. Excluding special items, Coldwater Creek lost $0.45 per share. The company in August expected an adjusted loss of $0.16 to $0.20 per share. Its revenue rose 0.4% to $188.1 million, versus analysts' estimates of $181 million. Coldwater Creek's gross margin climbed to 35.1% from 30%. Coldwater Creek shares gained 3.70% to $5.05 in after-hours trading.
