Aberdeen Asset Posts Higher FY12 Pretax Profit, Raises Dividend

reported a rise in its pretax profit in fiscal 2012. Aberdeen Asset's pretax profit for the year surged to 269.7 million pounds, from 224.1 million, in the year-ago period. Its net revenue gained to GBP869.2 million, from GBP784.0 million. Aberdeen Asset's adjusted pretax profit increased to GBP347.8 from GBP301.9 million, while adjusted diluted EPS gained to 22.6 pence from 18.7 pence. It also lifted the final dividend to 7.1 pence, from 5.2 pence.
