Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) SAI announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) to provide research and development support services to the NHRC Warfighter Performance department. The single-award cost-plus fixed-fee (CPFF) contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options and a total contract value of approximately $24 million, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in San Diego, Calif.
The NHRC Warfighter Performance department conducts research related to the measurement, maintenance, restoration, enhancement, and modeling of human performance in military operational environments. Under the contract, SAIC will provide research and development support services specifically in aspects of human performance, physiology and psychology investigative studies that involve planning, coordinating, designing, and executing experimental protocols that meet with the overall mission of the research objectives.
