Aeon Q2 Operating Profit Down 17.3%

Japan's Aeon Co Ltd

posted a 17.3% y/y decline in its operating profit for the second quarter. Aeon's quarterly operating profit fell to 39.7 billion yen ($505.67 million), versus analysts' estimates of 50.25 billion yen. Its first-half operating profit dropped 7.5%y/y. Aeon shares closed at $11.11 yesterday.
