ASML Q2 Net Profit Down 32%

posted a decline in its second-quarter profit. ASML's quarterly net profit fell to EUR292 million, from EUR432 million, in the year-ago period. Its sales dropped to EUR1.23 billion from EUR1.53 billion. ASML booked orders worth EUR949 million in the quarter, versus EUR865 million, in the first quarter. ASML projects current quarter sales of EUR1.2 billion. ASML shares gained 1% to close at $51.50 yesterday.
