Anadarko Beats Wall Street Earnings and Revenue Estimates
Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE: APC) released its fiscal first-quarter earnings results on Monday after the closing bell. The company reported adjusted net income of $475 million or $0.92 per share, compared to $366 million or $0.73 per share, in last year's corresponding quarter. This came in ahead of Wall Street analysts' consensus EPS estimates of $0.83 for the first quarter.
Revenues were $3.447 billion, up from the $3.253 billion that APC reported in the year ago period. This also beat Street estimates of $3.42 billion.
In Monday's after hours trading session, APC shares have risen 0.74% to $73.75. During the regular trading session, APC fell 0.79% and closed at $73.21. Year-to-date, the stock has lost 4.09% and is trading near its lows for 2012.
