Ultratech Cement FQ3 Net Profit Jumps 93%

India's Ultratech Cement Ltd

posted a 93% surge in its FQ3 net profit. Ultratech Cement's quarterly net profit climbed to INR6.17 billion, versus INR3.19 billion, in the year-ago period. Its sales rose to INR45.72 billion, versus INR37.15 billion. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of INR4.72 billion on sales of INR44.82 billion. The company's cement sales gained 6% to 9.72 million tons in the same quarter.
