Metso Reports Rise In Q3 Profit

reported a rise in its third-quarter net profit. Metso's quarterly net profit climbed to EUR94 million from EUR67 million. Its sales surged to EUR1.56 billion, from EUR1.33 billion, in the year-ago period. The company's operating gained to EUR149.4 million from EUR103.5 million. Metso shares closed at $37.65 yesterday.
