Assurant Increases Dividend by 13% to $0.18

Assurant, Inc.

announces that its board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $.18 per share of common stock. This represents a 13 percent increase above the quarterly dividend of $.16 per share, declared on Jan. 14, 2011. The dividend will be payable on June 7, 2011 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 23, 2011.
