Snapchat Sensation Caryn Marjorie's AI Doppelgänger: Your Virtual Girlfriend For $1 Per Minute

Despite being only 23 years old, social media star Caryn Marjorie has amassed a following of 1.8 million on Snapchat. And if that's not impressive enough, get this: She also has more than 1,000 virtual "boyfriends" that could soon make her a millionaire.

These boyfriends communicate with an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered facsimile of Marjorie, engaging in daily conversations that range from discussing life plans to sharing personal feelings and participating in suggestive chats.

How Does It Work?

The AI-driven creation, known as CarynAI, simulates Marjorie by using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence that was developed by analyzing her voice from more than 2,000 hours of now-deleted YouTube videos.

CarynAI boasts a strikingly humanlike voice and personality, allowing it to attract users willing to pay $1 per minute for interactions with the chatbot.

Debuting as an exclusive, invitation-only beta trial on Telegram Messenger earlier this month, CarynAI is another example of the remarkable progress in AI technology that has both impressed and concerned many. The chatbot, which has generated Marjorie $71,610 in revenue, is set to launch to the public within the next week. That'll be the real test of how a larger audience feels about the idea of paying to communicate with a chatbot.

What Can CarynAI Do?

Marjorie highlights the limitless possibilities of conversations with CarynAI, offering comfort, love and a listening ear to those who need it. She believes her AI double can elevate her career as an influencer and potentially alleviate loneliness for others.

CarynAI represents the first romantic companion avatar from AI firm Forever Voices, which has also created chatbot versions of famous personalities such as Steve Jobs, Taylor Swift and Donald Trump. While those chatbots serve as conversation starters on Telegram, CarynAI aims to forge genuine emotional connections with users.

If everything goes as planned, Marjorie believes that CarynAI could generate in the range of $5 million per month. While this sounds unrealistic, the projection is rooted in her prediction that 20,000 of her members will become paying, regular subscribers.
