A New Frontier in Data Communication: AtomBeam's Compaction Ushers in the Next Generation of IoT Efficiency

In the era of Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT), the need for secure, efficient and swift data transmission has never been more crucial. AtomBeam, a California-based software company, is changing the way data is transmitted with its innovative product compaction platform, and the company is allowing individual investors to be a part of its current funding round.

What is Compaction?

Leveraging advanced computational techniques and mathematical theory, Compaction surpasses the capabilities of conventional compression technologies, which have remained relatively stagnant since the 1970s.

Compaction uses machine learning to pinpoint patterns within vast sets of data files, typically comprised of thousands of small machine-generated messages.

During this training phase, a Codebook is created that correlates data patterns with an index referred to as a Codeword.

Once the Codebook is established, it is positioned at the data source (such as a sensor) and the destination (like the cloud). The setup enables these points to communicate exclusively through Codewords, ensuring the original data files remain at the source.

Unlike compression, which requires larger groups of messages or files to be effective, Compaction excels at compacting small, repetitive data, making it ideal for IoT or machine data applications. In comparison, compression requires sufficient data to be collected, multiple scans and batched transmission, which is not conducive to real-time data transfer.

For users of transportation-related apps that rely on real-time data transmission, AtomBeam's Compaction offers a significant improvement over compression. With an average IoT data reduction of 75%, Compaction far outperforms compression, which only reduces machine files by less than 20% and IoT messages by an average of 4%.

It also ensures that no data is lost during the process, allowing for a reduction in bandwidth costs by a factor of four, potentially saving billions of dollars in the long run.

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, AtomBeam's Compaction presents a unique opportunity for individual investors to participate in a technology that is transforming the data transmission industry.
